In Yosemite National Park, a drought made one of the top attractions nonexistent to the tourists. The falls came back to life on Wednesday, December 3, 2014, when the falls reappeared after there was two days of rain in the Sierra Nevada. The tallest waterfall in North America is in Yosemite National Park with many visitors and tourists coming to visit every year. Yosemite Falls dried up in early Summer because of California’s drought. Water freely flows at Bridalveil Fall, Cascade Fall, Yosemite Falls, and other spectacular waterfalls.

These amazing waterfalls have increased water production from a storm system that has more than four inches on Wednesday and six inches from snow and rain from the mountains. With the large number of increasing rains, there are roads open to see the live waterfalls. Yosemite Falls has three waterfalls that fall 2,425 feet down the cliffs of Yosemite Valley. The upper and lower falls can be easily seen at the base of the lower falls. The waterfalls go through a series of five small drops that connect the two plunges called the Middle Cascade.

Yosemite Falls and the other waterfalls run slow in the summer months because the water comes from the snow on the mountains above the valley. The most amazing time to go is during the months of May and June, with the month of August being when the falls run dry. December and February have the most spectacular waterfalls of all. Yosemite’s falls will entertain many visitors and tourist that yet have to come.
