The volcano on the island is threatening many people and many buildings. Yet people decide to stay and keep what is theirs. Just the other day there was lava 100 ft. away from a home. That may or may not seem scary but when it flows 30 ft. per hour that house would be up in an hour and a half. The lava flowed in a different direction before it could reach the house. The Hawaiian national guard has put up roadblocks to keep people from going certain ways for safety purposes. If the lava quickly moving through the landscape isn’t enough, it just gets worse. Looters have started to steal from houses of people who have left their homes and went to safety.
The lava is ripping away the life, memories, and homes away from existence. Everyone is trying to fight it but also stay alive. Everyone in that town has worked to get where they were and lava will take it over. What would you do if this was happening to your town?
