Space-Ex plans to launch another 12,000 satellites into low orbit, they are planning to launch the next 60 batches by the end of the year. They are doing this to start getting better connection through the world by making a constellation of satellites.
A starlinking idea thought up by the man they call insane. Elon Musk plans to launch “Starlink Constellation” which is supposed to improve interstate communication in the United States of America. Starlink is going to provide high bandwidth network around northern United States and Canada. The satellites are very light weighing only about 227kg per one and have the power of the Falcon 9. Each satellite has four powerful antenna arrays on the satellite. Each satellite has a powerful solar array providing power to them. This project has marvelous technology put inside of it. It comes with brand new ion thrusters that use krypton to move in space. This technology could benefit first world countries like the U.S.A, UK and others. This Could also provide benefits to newer countries in africa and new island countries. The way it could help is by providing a steady connection to every place in the world. There may be downsides to this though. One large corporation would have access to everything you use internet for and take over providers. Other companies like AT&T would be able to afford to rent or purchase satellites in the constellation smaller companies would struggle.
This project plans to provide coverage to the entire world within 24 years, with low latency. They also will never have to come back down thanks to the solar power being absorbed from the sun. They reason behind the low latency is thanks to the antenna arrays. Imagine not being able to choose who gives you internet? Do you think this is good or bad for the world?
